"bad guy" is a single by Billie Eilish on her debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?. It is the second track on the album and was released on March 29th, 2019, the same day as the album. She first teased it by posting a snippet on her Instagram.
On July 11th, 2019, a remix featuring Justin Bieber was released.[1]
”bad guy” is Billie's most successful song in her career. It was Billie's first #1 hit. She won many Grammy awards for it, including “Song of the Year”.

- The song was originally speculated to be called Mad, however, this was proven false when the album track list was revealed.
- Billie confirmed that the song would be receiving a music video.[2][3] The video was later released on March 29th, 2019, along with the album.
- The video was edited by Billie herself.[4]
- The song debuted at #7 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming her first top ten and highest charting hit. It was one of only two new entries that week, the other being rapper Lil Nas X's Old Town Road, which leaped from #15 to #1.
- It has since peaked at #1 on the chart, ending the record-breaking 19-week run of Old Town Road.
- In celebration of the music video for this song reaching 1 billion views on YouTube, Billie Eilish and YouTube worked together to create "the world's first infinite video". The website used takes clips from various covers of bad guy and puts them together, creating something new every time. This project is called "Infinite Bad Guy". [5]
