"all the good girls go to hell" is a single by Billie Eilish from her debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?. It is the fifth track on the album and was first released on March 29th, 2019, the same day as the album. The song was later released as a single on September 6th, 2019.[1]
Theme[]
The song, as Billie explained, is about global warming and climate change getting so bad that the Earth is destroyed; and the Devil and God are wondering why humans would do such a thing. In the song, Billie is a bystander who notes that nobody is allowed into Heaven because they all contributed to global warming, and the archangels aren't even there. Billie mocks at how anyone could get into Heaven and how God should have had the Devil as an ally while the Earth was being destroyed.
The music video for the song shows similar themes, personifying Billie as a version of Lucifer who makes fun of God for not seeking her help during global warming.

- Billie stated in an interview that the outro line, "I cannot do the snowflake", was recorded in the middle of a take when she was crocheting a snowflake and forgot how to do it.[2]
- This line is excluded from the music video.
- On July 8th, 2019, Billie hinted at the song's music video via Instagram stories. Following rumors about her releasing an album in September, Billie confirmed they were fake, but stated that she might have something for her fans.
